I own a 2001 Chevy Prizm that was quickly experiencing a fast succession of inoperative blower motor settings, until it only worked on the highest, " Noisy Hurricane". This AC-DELCO replacement part, is in my instance black plastic with a white-coated resistive surface, has about twice the size of resistive surface area as the original, but is an exact fit in the vent housing. Interestingly, it was manufactured in Japan. The defective part I removed had a scorched surface that caused a burned odor to be noticed just before each speed became defunct. Amazon's price was the best I found and the ease and confidence in ordering was beyond compare. Thanks once more, Amazon!

This has literally been the only part I have ever had to replace on my 2001 Chevrolet Prizm. I suspect there were "issues" with the original, as the replacement part is larger than the original for better cooling (original had visibly burned out). Replacement took all of ten minutes and the price here was half of what the local dealer wanted for the same part. Hard to improve on that!
